Salvation Army Kettle & Mail Appeal 2015

Barbadians are urged to come together Thursday 12th November at Jubilee Gardens in the City, as the Salvation Army awakens the spirit of caring and sharing with the launch of its 2015 Christmas Kettle and Letter Appeals on behalf of the island’s less-fortunate persons.

Beginning at 10:00 a.m., this year’s event will feature appearances from the Royal Barbados Police Force Band, Ms. Gena Coulthurst, The Salvation Army Divisional Band and Ah-Dee-Lah.

(L to R - Maj. Denzil Walcott, MC - Ms. Gaynelle Marshall & Soc. Care Min. Steve Blackett) In announcing the appeals, Salvation Army Divisional Commander, Major Sinous Theodore said the goal for 2015 is to raise some eight hundred thousand dollars through the combined Letter and Kettle Appeals.

The kettle and letter appeals are the major fund-raising effort on The Salvation Army’s calendar, Scotiabank’s Managing Director, Mr. David Noel will cosign the appeal letter with Major Theodore and Chairman of the Advisory Board Mr. Paul Bernstein, J.P.
