An American criminologist praises Barbadians for seeking to expand their training by embracing Non-Law Enforcement communities.

This was revealed by Don Lizotte of the United States Department of Justice while officiating at the presentation of certificates at Police Headquarters on Roebuck St in the City, over the weekend, Mr Lizotte said those who graduated felt the knowledge should not stay with police alone but relevant NGOs who also assist in helping battered partners and spouses;-
The Bridgetown U.S. Embassy in conjunction with the Royal Barbados Police Force and the Department of Justice held a successful workshop on a Self Paced Learning Curriculum where 11 officers completed the course plus a US Embassy staffer along with a member of the St Vincent Coast Guard.
