Close to 20,000 ganja plants confiscated between St Philip and St John
The Royal Barbados Police over time have sought to inform the public, through the media, of significant drug seizures so the public can be aware.
On Wednesday the 30th of September 2015, during a drug eradication exercise conducted by personnel from the Drug Squad, Tactical Response Unit (TRU), and the Barbados Defense Force (BDF) in the areas of College Savannah, Codington College, and Consett Bay St. John, along with Palmers St. Philip, netted a massive growing operation which resulted in 18,100 cannabis plants ranging from one (1) inch to seven (7) feet in height being seized. Sixty-two (64) plants, thirty two (32) at Carters St. John, and thirty two (32) at Rock Hall St. Philip were also seized.
No arrests were made during the exercise.
