Anthony N Sabga Caribbean Awards for Excellence (ANSCAFE) transformed into Elegant Publication
Barbadian media got some left handed praise from the head of Ansa McAl (Barbados) Limited, Nicholas Mouttet while delivering opening remarks at the Anthony N. Sabga Caribbean Awards of Excellence.

This regional system of recognising outstanding Caribbean citizens who have been giving exceptional service in their various areas of endeavour, has been running for over a decade now.
The president and CEO of the Barbados leg of Ansa McAl conglomerate said most of the Caribbean islands tend to ignore a story when there is no negativity to highlight;-
Ranging from the Arts and Letters, Public and Civic Contributions and Science and Technology and now Entrepreneurship, these awards have been highly regarded as identifying, rewarding and supporting excellent contributions from our Caribbean people with the overall objective to uplift the Caribbean and human community.
Run by the ANSA McAL Foundation, but judged by an independent Eminent Persons panel, Mr Mouttet observed how the awards are now highly regarded regionally by singling out individuals for their work in these selected areas;-

These outstanding citizens are now the highlighted and recorded for posterity in a commemorative book entitled ‘The Excellent Decade‘ – a 240 page full colour coffee table book which in itself is outstanding in its presentation.
The book was presented to a number of local libraries at the Pom Marine Hotel in a short ceremony.
The National Library Service, the Barbados Community College, The Barbados Institute of Management and Productivity and the American University all got copies of the book during the short ceremony. Copies have previously been presented to The University of the West Indies.
