Trinidad’s New Leader praised for restraint in face of Barbados’ Inept Finance Minister suggesting how to Operate

When Barbadian Finance Minister Chris Sinckler advised the leader of the newly-elected People’s National Movement (PNM) government in Trinidad and Tobago Dr Keith Rowley there is no magic wand to fix the issues currently facing his Republic, many Trinis admired how Keith resisted telling Chris that his mother arrived – alias “Paul, You Mother Come” or another popular street refrain…

While congratulating Dr Rowley on his victory in Monday’s polls where the PNM captured 23 of the 41 available seats, Sinckler pointed to low oil prices, acknowledging that a lot of readjustments to policies in the oil-rich nation might be necessary in order to help grow the economy.

The Bajan Minister who is yet to show his countrymen how fuel prices remain high even when Brent Crude is low explained how Kamla’s administration would have planned based on oil prices of over US$100 a barrel, among other things, Sinckler said he believed the new government would have to do some changes.
