Recording Artist Vita Chambers joins panel of judges for Honey Jam Auditions

Vita Chambers will be one of the judges for the Honey Jam auditions taking place on Tuesday, September 8 at 6:00 p.m. in the Bajan Breeze Restaurant at Divi Southwinds. An accomplished singer/songwriter and recording artist, Vita’s career highlights include touring with Justin Bieber, performing at Lilith Fair, performing with Estelle at the 2010 Soul Train Awards, being nominated for a Juno Award (Canada’s version of the Grammys) and winning the Teen Fav award for Pop Artist of the Year. Her song, “Fix You” entered the Top 40 in Canada where she was the #4 Emerging artist on the Canada Billboard chart. The song spent 20 weeks in the top 100, achieved Gold status in Canada, and has sold over 350,000 copies.

Chambers is now an independent artist under her own company Gold Note Productions. An artist who is proud of her Barbadian heritage, she has shot two of her videos here. Vita believes strongly in giving back and has participated in Honey Jam Barbados as a workshop panellist in the past, sharing her experiences in the industry with the young artists. She has also participated in the Canadian Honey Jam for the past two years as an audition judge.

She will be joined on the judge panel by artists, Jaicko, Nikita, Kite’s JJ Poulter and Tamara Marshall, along with producer Minim Worrell, DJ D.Luxe, Toni Thorne and Rachelle Gray.

2015 marks 5 years that Honey Jam has been in Barbados and they are excited to see what new talent comes out on Tuesday. The auditions are open to the public.
