HBO ENTERS FALL WITH EXCITING NEW CONTENT DURING THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER IN THE CARIBBEAN

This September, HBO continues to provide unique and cutting-edge original stories with amusing season premieres, heartwarming and thought-provoking special presentations, and the release of highly acclaimed blockbuster films. All content will be available on HBO GO and HBO On Demand, where available, following the on-screen premiere.

SEASON PREMIERE

Lisa Kudrow returns for a second season of the Emmy® Award-nominated comedy series The Comeback (Sunday, September 6th at 21:00 hrs. AST*) in her role as Valerie Cherish, a 40-year-old TV sitcom veteran who is desperate to revitalize her career. In an attempt to regain fame, she solicits the offices of HBO and is delighted at the offer to star in their new production, “Seeing Red.” She then convinces her former producer to create a “behind-the-scenes” special chronicling the experience, and soon finds trouble when the fame and attention begin. Created by Michael Patrick King (Emmy® winner for the HBO original series “Sex and the City”), with Lisa Kudrow and Dan Bucatinsky (Emmy® winner for “Scandal”) as executive producers.

SPECIAL PRESENTATION

Comedian Will Ferrell visited five different spring training ballparks in Arizona for Ferrell Takes the Field (Saturday, September 12 at 22:00 hrs., simultaneously with the United States), a new HBO special from Funny Or Die, in partnership with Major League Baseball. Dedicating the special to the fight against cancer, Ferrell also honored the historic feat of Bert Campaneris five decades ago by playing every position on the field for ten different teams in the same day.

MOVIE PREMIERES

Starring the hilarious Melissa McCarthy and Academy Award winning actress Susan Sarandon, Tammy (Saturday, September 6th at 21:00 hrs.) tells the story of a waitress (McCarthy) in a small burger joint who loses her job, wrecks her car and discovers her husband’s infidelity with their neighbor.

After learning that North Korea's Kim Jong Un (Randall Park) is a huge fan of the show, they successfully set up an interview with him, hoping to legitimize themselves as actual journalists.
