SEASON PREMIERE

Lisa Kudrow returns for a second season of the Emmy® Award-nominated comedy series The Comeback (Sunday, September 6th at 21:00 hrs. AST*) in her role as Valerie Cherish, a 40-year-old TV sitcom veteran who is desperate to revitalize her career. In an attempt to regain fame, she solicits the offices of HBO and is delighted at the offer to star in their new production, “Seeing Red.” She then convinces her former producer to create a “behind-the-scenes” special chronicling the experience, and soon finds trouble when the fame and attention begin. Created by Michael Patrick King (Emmy® winner for the HBO original series “Sex and the City”), with Lisa Kudrow and Dan Bucatinsky (Emmy® winner for “Scandal”) as executive producers.

HBO FILMS

From the producers of “Selma” and “12 Years a Slave”, the Emmy® nominated HBO Films drama, Nightingale (Thursday, September 10 at 21:00 hrs.), takes you inside the darkest corners of war veteran Peter Snowden’s disturbed mind as he begins to unravel thread by thread.

SPECIAL PRESENTATION

Comedian Will Ferrell visited five different spring training ballparks in Arizona for Ferrell Takes the Field (Saturday, September 12 at 22:00 hrs., simultaneously with the United States), a new HBO special from Funny Or Die, in partnership with Major League Baseball. Dedicating the special to the fight against cancer, Ferrell also honored the historic feat of Bert Campaneris five decades ago by playing every position on the field for ten different teams in the same day.

MOVIE PREMIERES

Starring the hilarious Melissa McCarthy and Academy Award winning actress Susan Sarandon, Tammy (Saturday, September 6th at 21:00 hrs.) tells the story of a waitress (McCarthy) in a small burger joint who loses her job, wrecks her car and discovers her husband’s infidelity with their neighbor.

Seth Rogen and James Franco star in the comedy The Interview (Saturday, September 5 at 21:00 hrs.), which caused controversy worldwide and broke records internationally.

However, as Dave and Aaron prepare for their journey to Pyongyang, the CIA steps in, recruits them and assigns them an incredible mission: Assassinate the dictator.

Nominated for a Golden Globe, the film tells the story of Annie (Wallis), who lives in an orphanage run by the greedy Miss Hanningan (Diaz). Her whole world changes when billionaire and mayoral candidate Will Stacks (Foxx) takes Annie to live with his family.
