CONGRESS OF TRADE UNIONS OFFERS TRIBUTE TO BARBADIAN GOSPEL ICON JOSEPH NILES
On the passing of the late Joseph Niles, the renowned and legendary Barbadian Gospel artiste, the Congress of Trade Unions and Staff Associations of Barbados (CTUSAB) pays tribute to this distinguished son of the soil.
Barbados has lost an icon who is deserving of further national recognition for the contribution he has made in the placing the name of Barbados on the international stage, and for his music which was significant in promoting our religious faith that is so integral in the socialization of our people; irrespective of religious persuasion.
Barbadians can be forever proud of the unswerving commitment the late Bro. Joseph Niles demonstrated to his country and to the promotion of gospel music.
These are to be seen as the features of his legacy, and it is expected that they will be noted in the annuals of Barbadian history.
As the nation mourns his loss, Barbadians can be assured that although he is no longer here on this earth, the music that he has left, will preserve his memory through generations to come. Long live his memory.
