Over 30 Barbadian event promoters and brands are standing together under the common banner “Barbados Cares” in a national effort to raise much needed funds for the disaster relief and recovery efforts in the storm-ravaged island of Dominica.
According to a release from the group, this was revealed at a press conference over the weekend, when Damien Sorhaindo, a member of the Dominica Association of Barbados, brought media up to date on the extent of the disaster with a graphic audio-visual presentation.

A weekend of activities designed to raise thousands of dollars, starts on Friday 25th September with a cooler beach party at the Copacabana Beach Bar and Grill from 8pm to 2am, continues the following day with a Cooler cruise on the Jolly Roger from 12pm to 4pm and ends on the Sunday with a fun walk/run/ride for all ages and abilities from 6am to 9am starting at the Esplanade on Bay Street and ending at the Copacabana Beach Bar and Grill.
