Award-winning author Zoanne Evans releases her 3rd publication to raise funds for children’s charity

University-level educator and award-winning author Zoanne Evans shifts the focus from her two previous poetry oriented publications with the release of the “Kids in Action Colouring/Activity Book”.

This newest venture is geared at raising funds for the Zoanne Evans-led Kids in Action charitable organisation. Kids in Action is a registered charity that aims to make the Word of God relevant to children through interactive youth group sessions and also promotes the importance of a good education. The organisation has run summer and reading camps and places youth in Skills Training while providing lessons, counselling and school supplies for its members.

Evans, an educator with more than two decades of experience, both locally and abroad, is also a twice published author. Her first work, a book of poetry titled "The Song Within Me" was published in 1999. Her sophomore release in 2005 was the collection of poems and short stories entitled "In the Shade of the Shak Shak".

In the Shade of the Shak Shak“, in addition to a selection of Evans’ pen and ink renditions, is available at Arlington House Museum and The Barbados Arts Council.

Zoanne Evans launches the “Kids in Action Colouring/Activity Book” on Saturday, October 3rd, 2015 at Chattel House Books, Sky Mall, Haggatt Hall, St. Michael between 11A.M. and 12:30 P.M. The launch will also feature performances from the children of the Kids in Action charity, as well as various games and other activities. All proceeds from the sale of the “Kids in Action Colouring/ Activity Book” go to the Kids in Action charity.
