All Eyes on 6th annual Corneal Lecture series at Hilton Barbados
PHYSICIANS, nurses, ophthalmic technicians, medical students and other members of the medical fraternity from around the Caribbean, will converge on the Barbados Hilton Resort on September 25 and 26, for the 6th annual Corneal Lecture series.
The lecture series is hosted by Corneal Services Barbados (CSB), a division of Warrens Eye Care Centre, which specializes in corneal treatments.
This year the conference focuses on Strategic Planning for the medical practitioner, vitreo-retinal diseases and cornea and external diseases.
Dr. Akil Hinds from Trinidad and Dr. Sonia Greenidge from Barbados, will present on Leadership and Strategic planning, respectively.
Deputy Principal of University of the West Indies, Cave Hill, Professor Clive Landis is expected to open the conference, which promises to be an intensive two-day session where participants will receive CPE points.
Dr. Nigel Barker the conference’s main organizer said: “this year’s conference is expected to be of the same high standard of the previous five. For the first time in the series, we are diversifying by including topics outside cornea. The business component of the meeting should be of interest to all, as this is not taught in medical school, but is an essential part of the medicine and life.”
