Monday 7th September will probably be one of the most nerve wrecking days for those children beginning their Secondary School lives. However, four members of the ICBL family will be walking into their new environment full of confidence thanks to gifts from the leading insurance company.

ICBL recently recognized Ariana Ryan, Ashlee Davis, Khaleel Wilkinson and Nagia Brewster for their success in this year’s Common Entrance Examination and presented them each with a brand new backpack, full set of stationery, along with a tablet – practical gifts which can blend into any school’s day to day activities.

Following the presentation of the school supplies the students were taken on a complete tour of the ICBL Roebuck Street office by Human Resource Administrator, Claire Collins (fourth from left).

Senior Vice President – Human Resources and Customer Experience, Glenda Gilkes, said this was the second year for the initiative:

Last year we had 11 children of staff who would have sat and been successful in the Common Entrance examination and we decided to recognize and provide them with supplies to help them at the start of their journey. We continued that this year because we view these children as part of the ICBL family; we see them daily in some cases and on many occasions they are here working astutely while their parents work late nights and weekends. As a result, their success is our success and we applaud them and wish them all the best.”

Following the presentation of the gifts to Ariana, who will be attending Alexandra; Ashlee and Nagia who will be attending Graydon Sealy; and Khaleel who will be attending Queens College, the students were taken on a full tour of ICBL’s head office on Roebuck Street and treated to lunch.
