At 5:00 PM the center of the small eye of Hurricane Danny was located by satellite near latitude 13.0 North, longitude 45.7 West. Danny is moving toward the west-northwest near 10 mph (17 km/h) and this general motion is expected to continue into Saturday.

Maximum sustained winds have increased to near 80 mph (130 km/h) with higher gusts. Some additional strengthening is forecast during the next 24 hours, but a weakening trend is expected to begin after that.
