Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. (BTMI) OPENS TENDERS FOR DESTINATION WEBSITE

The Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. (BTMI) has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for a new destination website, which will become a primary pillar in its evolving digital marketing strategy.

The key objectives of the site will be to serve as a source of information for prospective visitors; to deliver a variety of engaging content that supports the interests of key target audiences; and to move consumer prospects through the buying cycle; and to build brand loyalty.

Responses due by Aug. 7th 2015, 3 p.m. EST "Redevelopment of visitBarbados.org represents a significant undertaking and a major opportunity to enhance our digital marketing capabilities and brand presence. It allows us to address a growing online travel market with exciting possibilities. The leading-edge digital environment that we are creating shall give Barbados a web presence to match our highly rated destination." according to Director of Marketing, Robert Chase.

Eligible applicants for the 2015 RFP include local and global web development entities with a strong track record in delivering high quality, scalable, intuitive websites for multilingual audiences within the allocated resources of time and budget.

The agency partner selected will be required to provide a solution that will enhance the destination’s positioning in the international marketplace and keep Barbados top-of-mind when consumers are making holiday and travel plans. The BTMI has also stated among its objectives a desire to sustain high levels of engagement, repeat visits, bookings and overall site traffic.
