We, like many Barbadians, are truly dumbfounded as to what it will take for the PM to speak and to act.

How many more must die? How many more must be robbed? How many more must be at risk of losing their house or their businesses? How many more must lose their jobs or indeed work and not be paid?

Leader of the Opposition (B’dos)

This country needs to know that it has leadership that will protect them when they most need it – not a Prime Minister who is both numb and mum. And we do not mean speaking at George Street to the party faithful. We mean addressing the citizens and residents of Barbados.

The Prime Minister is the head of the Executive Arm of Government – and it is called the Executive because it is only they who occupy the Executive (the Cabinet and Public service) that can EXECUTE.

As I have said many times before the Opposition will assist however we can as Parliamentarians and citizens but we can only do so if the Government allows us to help.

For the sake of us all PM – speak to your people and act urgently and now to protect Barbadians in this hour of anxiety and vulnerability.

Barbadians need this intervention.
