The City Of Bridgetown credit union was saddened to report an attempted robbery occurred at the Black Rock branch of the City of Bridgetown Cooperative Credit Union Ltd. located in the One Carlton Complex earlier today…

They’re currently investigating the matter and cooperating fully with the Royal Barbados Police Force.

C.O.B says they’ll be able to provide more information and details after they’ve had an opportunity to investigate…

Their focus at this time is on the safety and well-being of the staff and customers who were in the branch.

C.O.B’s providing counselling and other needed support to ensure their staff and customers are given what is needed to overcome this tragedy.

As a direct result of the incident the Black Rock branch will be closed for the rest of today.

However, our other two branches located at Manor Lodge, Green Hill and Lower Broad St. in Bridgetown remain open until 5 p.m. today to serve the rest of our valued members.

The credit union asks for some time and they pledge to respond further soon…
