HBO announced the return of the Critics’ Choice Television Award-winning drama series Ray Donovan, premiering its third season on Monday, July 13 at 21:00 hrs. AST* in the Caribbean. Ray Donovan (Golden Globe® nomineeLiev Schreiber) is Los Angeles’ best professional fixer, the man called in to make the city’s celebrities, superstar athletes, and business moguls’ most complicated and combustible situations go away.
The first two seasons brought audiences into the world of Ray’s dirty profession, unsure of what fate had in store for him. After his father, Mickey (Emmy® nominee and Golden Globe-winnerJon Voight), is unexpectedly released from prison after serving a 20-year sentence, problems start to arise for Ray and his brothers. Mickey’s high criminal record harms Ray, who is being carefully watched by the FBI. His illicit career paired with the struggle of trying to protect his family makes his story a much more complicated and vengeful one.
The 12-episode new season kicks off with Ray alienating himself from his business associates after the murder of Kate McPherson (Vinessa Shaw), and from his own family after his wife Abby’s (Paula Malcomson) affair.
Ray is met with a life-changing opportunity when he meets billionaire media mogul Andrew Finney (Ian McShane), who seeks Ray’s help managing his maladjusted children: his black sheep son Casey (Guy Burnet) and his cut-throat daughter Paige (Katie Holmes), both fighting for control of the family affairs. As Ray becomes a key player in the Finney empire, he soon discovers the heavy price associated with ascending the world of billionaires.
Meanwhile, after narrowly escaping last season’s heist with Daryl (Pooch Hall), Mickey comes across a new business opportunity with the hopes of building his own empire, Mickeystyle.
Terry (Eddie Marsan) struggles to find purpose as he serves time for the pot store heist, his worsening Parkinson’s symptoms impacting his mind. With Terry away, Bunchy (Dash Mihok) has taken over as manager at the Fite Club and finds himself drawn to a tough new member who won’t pay her dues. Abby tries to support her family, but when she feels everyone pushing her away, she tries to reconnect with her old life in Southie. Bridget (Kerris Dorsey) struggles with a strict teacher at her new private school, as Conor (Devon Bagby) blunders his way into adolescent sexuality.
Following the on-screen premiere each Monday, new episodes of the hour-long drama will be available on HBO GO and HBO On Demand with participating operators in participating countries.
