MQI staff rewarded for driving company growth
A leading automotive dealer rewarded workers for their role in driving the company’s growth.
McEnearney Quality Inc. (MQI) has recognised members of its team for their exceptional performance and long service during 2014 at an awards reception held in its BMW showroom in Wildey recently.
Diana Farrell, outgoing Accounts Payable Supervisor was acknowledged for her 33 years of service to MQI and thanked for her loyalty and dedication.
“It has been an enjoyable time here,” she said. “I’ve been through the phases of change and transition but I’ve enjoyed it. It was a rewarding experience; working with different people of different minds and characters.” As for being recognised at the reception, Ms. Farrell said, “it was great!”
Other employees recognised for long service included Maureen Toppin, Parts Sales Representative (20 years), Joey Worrell, Timekeeper (25 years) and Cortez Pilgrim, Warranty Advisor (40 years).
With regard to performance, the Top Sales Performer Award was won by Michael McClean, Sales Executive in the New Vehicles Sales Department while Coreen Grant, Administrative Assistant in the Parts Department copped the MQI Employee of the Year for 2014.
Ms. Grant, who has worked with MQI for 36 years, said she felt “very good” about her award.
“When one’s effort is recognised, appreciated and rewarded it is a very good feeling.” She added that she worked with a committed team and was looking forward to continuing to “work to the best of my ability and to grasp any opportunity for promotion.”
Debbie Taylor, MQI’s Human Resources Manager said that employees came out in support of their friends and co-workers who were recognised. “It was a wonderful evening of celebrating our staff,” she noted.
Also attending the reception were Jerome Borde, Sector Head for the Automotive Division, as well as Directors of the Company. MQI represents major automotive brands including BMW, Ford, Kia, Mazda and Mini and it is a wholly owned subsidiary of ANSA McAL (Barbados) Ltd.
