Just as the Barbados Special Olympics Team is making its final preparations for the 2015 Special World Games in Los Angeles, they have received some additional financial support from ICBL.
The island’s leading General Insurance and fastest growing Life Insurance provider made a donation to the Association to assist with the cost of sending its 28 athletes to represent the island in the games, which run from July 25th to August 2nd.
Corporate Communications Specialist with ICBL, Randy Howard, said the donation comes at a time when the company is beginning to build a relationship with the Special Olympics of Barbados:

“Just recently we began discussions with the Special Olympics of Barbados regarding how ICBL could get more involved and lend its support. Of course with the games being upon us there was an immediate need for financial assistance, given the $250,000 budget to take a full team to this year’s games. We therefore decided to begin this relationship with a financial contribution to this cause.”
“This is just the start of what we envision to be a close relationship going forward,” Howard added.
