“I cannot drive around and see this garbage piling up when I can get the resources to get it removed, but I cannot do it all over Barbados overnight.”

This assertion from Businessman Anderson Cherry, Chief Executive Officer of Jose Y Jose Liquid and Solid Waste Management Inc.

(FILE IMAGE) Cherry who hails from Bush Hall in St. Michael says, his team will tomorrow Sunday July 26th 2015 be undertaking a massive cleanup campaign in his "home town" ridding it of as much garbage as he can so that the place can be as he remembered it "spotless".

I am aware that the Sanitation Services now has a task on their hands since for the past week or so they downed tools, so even now that they have started back they will not be able to reach all areas, I think as a business man that I can help,” he explained.

The cleanup which starts at 6 o’clock in the morning will begin from the Bush Hall Community Centre, through the area of Review Road (where he once resided), to Military road, the areas of Ocean View road and 1st to the 4th Alleynes Land and surrounding areas.

Members of the community will also be involved in this activity which is expected to culminate by 1 pm.
