Cahill Energy proposed Waste To Energy is a Waste of Time – NOT BARBADOS!
- Kid #3: My Mommy says smoking kills.
Nick Naylor: Oh, is your Mommy a doctor?
Kid #3: No.
Nick Naylor: A scientific researcher of some kind?
Kid #3: No.
Nick Naylor: Well, then she’s hardly a credible expert, is she?
Aaron Eckhart – Thank You for Smoking (2005)
This film was a seminal treatise on attempting to defend the indefensible, and clearly Cahill Energy is unaware or feels watching this movie is unnecessary when tackling Barbadians.
The panel’s idea of Q&A was very rudimentary and whoever was their PR dropped the ball in not having all of their group engage with a thorough debriefing and rehearse the most difficult and uneasy questions possible.
This article will have a lot of research and many hidden URL’s as I do not intend to explain everything so click away as we learn who are Peter Craggs Howe and John Robilliard? Even if their profiles come down, we have screenshots saved in case they’re removed!
Who are these people? Well you need to download some documents I found when a truck in Vaucluse drove off and left a memory stick behind (ahem) the PDF’s show a trail of Nominee Directors but tied to 2 key people in Guernsey.
When you look at the first 3 videos I have done of the Cahill highlights, you’ll note Clare Cowan refuses to say who directors or shareholders are – it doesn’t matter as I was able to locate some of the incorporation which goes back 3 years, this leads one to wonder how far back the current Government planned this deal and who accrues benefits from it? More videos over the weekend!
Fireworks started the moment concerned Barbadians entered the LESC and were informed questions had to be written down to solicit answers from the panel assembled, including the much talked about Clare Cowan. In her opening statement she communicated the main purpose of the Open House was to debunk untruths being posted on Barbados Underground and Facebook.
The disappointment for (Underground & Bajan Reporter) was hearing responses to two questions. The first was if Cahill Energy is aware of a plasma gasification plant built on any island of similar size to Barbados anywhere in the world. Clare Cowan answered she was not aware. And the second question: how would environmental standards be enforced – to which Clare Cowan responded a community effort is her best recommendation. She added the government will likely enact legislation borrowed from the UK or Canada to enforce the standards required.
The rest of their story is HERE
Barbados is proposing to spend over $700 million USD on a Waste to Energy plant with a contract so one sided in favour of the firm who will run the project, Cahill Energy, Barbados will be financially liable for potentially billions of US dollars for years to come. In addition the potential Environmental impact is even more disturbing.
This contract has many undesirable elements for Barbados, the importation of waste from other countries, the importance of old tyres, the potential importation of hazardous waste plus numerous other tax and duty exemptions that will have such a negative impact on the future health and well being of Barbados for decades to come. The deal is so one sided in favour of Cahill, the Government has not even specified a minimum amount of electricity the plant must generate.
The deal has been signed off by four Government Ministers (notably not the Prime Minister) with little discussion from Government as a whole.
Please inform yourself of the Barbados Waste to Energy Plant. There is a Facebook group called “Bajans Against $700M Waste To Energy Plant” where you will find all the information about the proposed project. Please share, write on any blogs you have access to and sign the petition, here is the link: https://goo.gl/5eStr4
Peter Craggs Howe and John Robilliard facilitated the Nominee Directors which is British for dummy corporations or shell companies, while we don’t know who is really arranging these Canadian marionettes, we are close in the sense we have a lead on who is trying to create shadows… this what we found on Howe;-
Peter Howe holds 3 appointments at 3 active companies, has resigned from 7 companies and held 5 appointments at 5 dissolved companies. Peter began their first appointment at the age of 41. Their longest current appointment spans 6 years and 11 months at CANNON HOLDINGS (SCOTLAND) LIMITED. The combined cash at bank value for all businesses where Peter holds a current appointment equals £269, with a combined total current assets value of £321,726 and total current liabilities of £373,488. Roles associated with Peter Howe within the recorded businesses include: Company Secretary, Director
What do Miguel Ramsay, Jeff Ballingall, Jade Alleyne and Nadia Pedersen have in common? Usually the same IP address, if not the same PR firm… Whose IP address? Well, only one of these names here has a real Facebook profile, so?
After the virile and vehement session last night I learned a few things, some of the team are staying at Royal Pavilion which is not cheap! Also the PR outfit attempting to astroturf my site usually handles Government contracts and not private Canadian entities – does this project have deeper ties than originally foreseen?
