Barbadian Engineer designs new Political movement: Grenville Phillips II warns of vicious attacks if joining, urges everyone to solve and comment
Grenville Phillips II chooses his words carefully, whether suggesting how Barbadians build better homes or examining if NISE really served its purpose, once he’s made a careful assessment – he makes no bones to state what should or should not be done if success can be grasped…
For the noted engineer to decide to embark on the potentially dangerous prospect of creating a new political party, he has decided enough is enough;-
“One political leader recently revealed that that only those in the political trenches had the right to have their advice on national issues considered. Since we do not plan to stop offering unsolicited advice, and we have no desire to engage in futile exercises, then we have no choice but to reluctantly enter the political trench. If the Government or Opposition parties follow our advice, then we will leave the trench as quickly as we entered it – the choice is theirs.”
He urges anyone who wishes to jump into the arena to make sure their affairs are in order first, since this type of Life is not for the faint hearted…
Aware of his own potential to be victimised for daring to blaze a path few may follow, he urges those who make recommendations to be patient when seeking feedback;-
“Due to the charging of individuals for breaching the Computer Misuse Act (section 14) and the Defamation Act, we must reduce the risk of inconvenience by reviewing all comments for compliance. You can help us by not speaking disparagingly about people. Please note that all favourable and unfavourable comments will be posted, but any defamatory information will be redacted. We apologise in advance for any delayed comments.”
Unlike the current political landscape which is scarce of proffered solutions and only a plethora of pointing fingers, Grenville has listed a possible manifesto of concerns which he invites readers to suggest modifications, click HERE and view the ideas listed.
If elections do appear in the constitutionally allotted period of 2018, then the principal of Walbrent college has chosen well how to form the new entity – but if Bajans continue to get openly agitated and restless as has been appearing the last few months on Social Media sites like Twitter, Instagram and Facebook? Then he may have to get ready to run with whatever candidates are or aren’t available… We can only wish him the very best and hope Grenville means what he’s initially placed as solutions on his new website!
