World War 1 Exhibition using Android & Apple apps, now on at Barbados Museum

On the occasion of the commemoration of the Centenary of the Great War, the Institut Fran├žais and its partners have created an interactive exhibition simply entitled ‘14-18‘ which mixes paper and numeric materials.

Members of the public are invited to view the exhibition at the Barbados Museum now on until 30 May 2015. This exhibition has been designed to be shown all around the world and was most recently on display in St Lucia and Trinidad and Tobago.

14-18‘ encourages users to immerse and interact with the exhibition through the use of a specially designed app available through the Google Play Store and iTunes app store. When visiting this exhibition, you are encouraged to walk with your smartphones and tablets to scan the QR codes throughout the exhibit for further information.

When viewing this exhibition, you are also welcomed to visit the Military Gallery to learn more about the role of Barbadians and West Indians in the World War which took place from 1914 – 1918.

Both exhibitions are opened to the public for viewing on Monday-Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sundays from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
