The British High Commissioner to Barbados, Victoria Dean, and The England & Wales Cricket Board indicated the England Cricket Team supports ‘Sport for Life! International (SFLI) Barbados’ during the current England tour to the West Indies. Mrs Dean made a presentation to SFLI Barbados of funds from the UK’s Sport is GREAT campaign.
The SFLI children will subsequently benefit from cricketing and leadership tips from the England Team.
Sport for Life! International (SFLI) is an international community education and cricket programme for 8-16 year olds currently running in Barbados, St Lucia and Trinidad & Tobago in addition to Birmingham in the United Kingdom.
SFLI Barbados is a legacy programme of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2007. It was founded by Lord Richard Newby OBE and Jane Power (CEO) working with the late Stephen Alleyne, formerly ICC World Cup 2007 Director, who emphasised that legacy would be an important part of the World Cup’s overall impact.
