I.C.B.L’S HEALTH EXTRAVANGAZA PROMISES TO BE BIGGEST EVER

Those persons looking forward to this year’s ICBL Family Fun Walk & Run will be in for a treat once they complete the April 28th 5k & 10k events.

This is because when participants cross the finish line outside ICBL headquarters, they would be able to celebrate their accomplishment during the largest Health Extravaganza ever held to close off this annual fund raising initiative.

The Zumba exercise segment of last year’s Health Extravaganza was very well received by patrons and is expected to be a big hit again this year.

The Zumba exercise segment of last year’s Health Extravaganza was very well received by patrons and is expected to be a big hit again this year.

On the grounds of the nation’s largest general insurance company, patrons will be treated to various activity including health checks and product sampling, along with further physical activity in the form of Zumba.

Marketing & Communications Assistant, Vicki Olton, said the growth of the Extravaganza is in keeping with the company’s goal to make the annual event more than just a walk or run race, but a full family oriented event, attracting persons of all walks of life who are interested in healthy lifestyles, fun and entertainment:

“This certainly would not have been possible without the support of various entities who have agreed to come and sample their products, in addition to engaging the patrons. A special thanks must therefore go out to General Distributors, Crossfit 246, Premium Performance Training, Capita Financial Services, WIBISCO, Heart & Stroke Foundation, Carmeta’s, Vita Malt, Lysol, Colcafe, Tosh, Couture Caterers, Field Tech, Powerade, Harris Paints, Bajan Fusion, Flow, Cave Shepherd, Facey Trading and the Diabetes Association of Barbados.”

We are therefore encouraging as many persons as possible to register for this year’s 5k & 10k events, after which they could stay and enjoy the many samples on offer, in addition to shaking a leg with the energetic Zumba Bunnies and Premium Performance Training“, Olton added.

Individuals and groups looking to register for the walk can do so by logging onto familyfun.icb.com.bb or visiting the ICBL head office on Roebuck Street, St. Michael between 9:00am and 4:00pm daily.
