In addition, the cloud solution from Digicel Business and HP will give customers a fully-scalable OpEx-based solution, allowing these businesses the options to connect into an existing cloud infrastructure or architect a hosted fully managed private cloud dedicated to them.

Digicel Business Group CEO, Paul Osborne, said; “At Digicel Business, we know that all businesses – from the largest enterprise and Government office to the smallest start-up – are now, more than ever, looking for solutions that reduce cost, deliver scalability and provide access to data from anywhere, at any time and through any device.

Digicel is proud to announce this strategic partnership with HP that will deliver HP Helion managed private cloud services to the large enterprise and public sector organisations across the region. This is a great complement to our previously announced Public Cloud offering that is designed to suit the needs of smaller businesses. This partnership will provide the flexibility and reliability our customers need to stay focused on what is most important to them.”

Martin Castillo, General Manager, HP Caribbean Region, said; “In order to remain competitive, telecommunications providers must have access to the latest technology along with quick-to-market strategies. The HP Helion portfolio of open source hybrid cloud solutions, along with the team’s vast local and global experience in private cloud services, will help strengthen Digicel’s position as a complete IT services provider.”
