Grazie! That is how the Business & Professional Women’s Club of Barbados expressed its appreciation to the management of Mama Mia at a presentation held at the Italian eatery in Hastings, Christ Church on Wednesday 8 April.
The presentation of a monetary donation and other items was a result of donations collected at a special International Women’s Day Jazz and Fashion Show which took place at Mama Mia’s, sponsored in part by Diamonds International, Stansfeld Scott and Kartusche.

Michal Hassid, Managing Director of Diamonds International and Rym Riley – Division Manager of Wines from Stansfeld Scott attended the presentation.
Vice President of BPW Ms. Nicole Alleyne in accepting the presentation from Ms. Guise Ferri, owner of Mama Mia, noted that the donation was timely and the residents of the Battered Women’s Shelter would benefit from the donations tremendously, particularly in these harsh economic times. Ms. Alleyne added that donations such as this reflect a strong sense of corporate responsibility and said the BPW is grateful to be a recipient of these efforts.
