Barbados’ newest Independent Senator, Carol Lady Haynes, has vowed to honour and uphold the 300-year-old tradition of Parliamentary representation in Barbados.

Viewing the swearing-in were her sons, Kashka and Richard Haynes and their wives, Meredith and Michelle Haynes respectively.

Noting that she intended to balance her career as a doctor with her new post, she stressed that her patients were of paramount importance to her and would not be left out. (JRB/BGIS)
