CIBC FirstCaribbean is pleased to be toasting one of its own. Barbados-based Sheldene Pinder, a Relationship Manager in the bank’s Platinum Banking team returned home to Barbados this week from Hawaii, where she and her fellow top performers from within the CIBC group worldwide were celebrated by senior executives of the company.
Ms. Pinder received her award as part of the annual CIBC FirstCaribbean Employee Recognition Programme, known as “Player of the Series” for outstanding Sales in fiscal 2014 where she was CIBC FirstCaribbean’s top loan volume producer for 2014 exceeding her annual target by 27% with overall loan portfolio growth of 6%.
As part of her prize, Ms. Pinder was one of eight winners from CIBC FirstCaribbean who, together with a guest, travelled with their counterparts from CIBC worldwide to the group’s annual CIBC Achievers’ Conference, which was held from January 11 – 17, 2015 in Maui, Hawaii.
The week-long programme combined business sessions and celebratory events. During the week in Hawaii, it was announced that Sheldene had been chosen from among her colleagues to receive an Award of Distinction.
Mr. St. Hill noted: “Sheldene’s name is synonymous in the market with outstanding sales performance and excellent customer service, so it was no surprise when she was named as one of our Players of the Series late last year and now chosen for this additional award by CIBC. We are lucky to have employees of Sheldene’s calibre on board and take the opportunity whenever we can to celebrate them and thank them for their contribution to providing excellent service to our customers.”
He further added: “sales excellence, for which Sheldene was recognized, means you know your product, you know your customers, and you are willing to go beyond simply achieving a sale and become a financial advisor and partner to your clients. We have seen this time and time again with Sheldene. We are immensely proud of her achievement.”
