POLICE UNDER FIRE: WEE HOUR SHOOTING AT MILK MARKET

On Monday February 9th, 2015, about 2:00 am, Police Officers were on patrol duty in Bridgetown when they encountered 3 suspicious persons. The Police Officers challenged those persons who fired several rounds at the Police Officers; there were no injuries. Two businesses in the area sustained damages to their structures.

Investigations are continuing.

UPDATES – SHOOTING AT BRIDGE STREET

Police have arrested and charged two persons in connection with a shooting incident which occurred on Bridge Street, Bridgetown on Friday February 6, 2015, where Rashon Alexander was injured and hospitalized.

Those persons were:

1. 15 year old St. Michael juvenile who was charged for:
Serious Bodily Harm;
Using a firearm without a licence; and
Violent Disorder.

2. Gary Ian Williams, 20 years of Stuart Lodge, Carrington Village, St. Michael was charged for:
Violent Disorder

The juvenile and Williams are to appear at the District A Magistrates Court on Monday February 9, 2015.

AGGRAVATED BURGLARY AT SCOTIABANK BLACKROCK

Police have made a significant breakthrough into the Aggravated Burglary which occurred at the Black Rock Branch of Scotia Bank about 10.10 am on Tuesday January 27, 2015. A person of interest is currently being question in regards to this matter under investigation.

ROBBERIES IN BLACKROCK AREA

Police carrying out investigations into a number of robberies which occurred in Blackrock have made a significant breakthrough into those matters. A person is currently in custody assisting with these investigations.
