MEN CRACKED DOWN ON FOR CLOSED SEA EGG SEASON OFFENCES

Police have separately arrested and formally charged Erskine Adolphus Pollard 54 years and David Orlando Bennett 43 years both of Bath Land, St. John, each with the offences of:

1. Fishing for Sea-Eggs During Closed Season; and
2. Possession of Sea-Eggs During Closed Season

About 12:30 pm on the January 31, 2015, Members of the Marine Unit conducted operations against the harvesting of sea eggs in the closed season.  During their operation at Bath Beach, St. John, both men were seen and held, each with bags containing sea eggs.

Erskine Pollard was found with 150 sea eggs, while David Bennett was found with 218 sea eggs.

They were remanded until Tuesday 3rd February 2015 to return to the same Court for sentencing.
