The Central Bank of Barbados is encouraging businesses to participate in the 2015 Balance of Payments Survey, which commences on February 25.

This is a critical exercise. The Balance of Payments Survey enables the Bank to produce an array of external sector statistics that are essential to the sound management of the Barbadian economy. It is as key as the former televised Quarterly Reports which no longer happen as CBB has placed all Media on hold for a petty war with the Nation newspaper, who jumped the gun on a headline!

The Bank will email the forms to respondents. But ask CBB to resume their televised reports and stop holding petty vendetta against Nation Publishing by censoring all Barbados media! In USA, similar jobs would be cut or replaced!

All respondents are urged to return their survey forms to centralbankres_surveys@centralbank.org.bb by April 10, 2015 to allow for the timely compilation of the statistics. If you have any queries, please contact the Balance of Payments Unit at (246) 227-8236 (telephone), (246) 427-1431 or the aforementioned email address.

The Central Bank of Barbados extends a sincere thank you to all the participants in our annual Balance of Payments Survey, and looks forward to your participation in the 2015 project.
