Returning President, Lynette Eastmond thanked all present for the opportunity to serve and stressed the importance of cohesion and contribution to activities by all members.

She also informed those present that the Association had been successful in securing funding from the Competency Based Training Fund (CBTF) to offer regionally recognized courses in several areas of film including sound, directing, acting and more. The BFVA will work with BIMAP to have the courses accredited and each participant will be awarded a regionally recognized certification that will allow them to work anywhere in the Caribbean.

Training is free to all members of the BFVA and members were encouraged to invite others to join and take advantage of the opportunity. Any persons seeking more information on the courses and/or membership to the BFVA may contact the Association via email or find online application links on the BFVA facebook page.
