ANOTHER GUYANESE NATIONAL ON REMAND FOR DRUG OFFENCES

Members of the Drug Squad have formally charged Troy Anthony Erskine, 36 year old Guyanese national for the following offences:

1. Possession of cocaine – 4 ½ kgs.
2. Possession with intent to supply
3. Trafficking; and
4. Importation of cocaine.

Erskine is a crew member of an Oil tanker berthed off the Southern Coast of Barbados. In the afternoon of Friday January 30, 2015, members of the Drug Squad intercepted Erskine at Oistins, Christ Church. A subsequent search of his person discovered 8 hidden packages of the drug. Total weight 4 ½ kgs.

On Saturday 31st January 2015, Troy Erskine appeared at the District A and was remanded to appear at the Oistins Magistrates Court on Tuesday 3rd February 2015.
