ST JOHN MAN CHARGED FOR MULTIPLE TRAFFIC OFFENCES

Police have arrested and formally charged Stephen Ricardo Phillips, 31 years of Carters, St. John, for the offences of:

1. Unpaid taxes
2. No third party insurance
3. Failing to stop at the sound of a siren
4. Driving without due care and attention
5. Dangerous driving; and
6. Failing to comply with the lawful direction of a police officer.

Phillips appeared at the District D Magistrates Court on Thursday January 15, 2015 and was remanded until January 22, 2015.

On Wednesday morning, January 14, 2015, Police on mobile duty pursued Phillips, who was at the time driving a motor vehicle, after he failed to stop when signaled to do so. He was apprehended at Hothersal Turning, St. Michael when his vehicle crashed.
