Man on Bail after Police involved shooting: How much? What weapon did he threaten cops with?

Amando Browne, 30 years of 7th Avenue, Skeetes Road, Ivy, St. Michael, is out on bail despite the following offences:

1. Possession of cocaine
2. Possession with intent to supply
3. Trafficking;
4. 2 counts of Assault to prevent lawful apprehension; and
5. 2 counts of resisting Police Officers

Brown is expected to appear again at the District A Magistrates Court on 20th March 2015.

On Monday 1st December 2014, about 12:55 pm, two police officers were on duty at Brownes Beach, St. Michael and went to affect an arrest regarding a report of a man selling illegal drugs.

During the arrest, the Browne armed himself (EDITOR’s NOTE – With WHAT? NEVER stated…) and attacked the police officers who feared for their lives; one officer drew his service firearm and shot the suspect in his right arm.

He was immediately taken to the Hospital for medical attention by police officers. Both officers also sought medical attention for their injuries.
