Guyanese national & ex-Cop Monroe charged with drug offences

Members of the Drug Squad have arrested and charged Guyanese national Nicolle Ronata Monroe, 44 years for the following offences committed at the GAIA:

1. Possession of ½ kilogram of cocaine;
2. Possession with intent to supply;
3. Trafficking;
4. Importation;
5. Possession of 4 ½ lbs of cannabis;
6. Possession with intent to supply;
7. Trafficking; and
8. Importation.

Nicolle Monroe arrived by air from Guyana on Tuesday 2nd December 2014 and was interviewed by Drug Squad personnel and referred to Customs for searches. 6 taped packages of cannabis weighing 4 ½ lbs and 2 taped packages of cocaine weighing ½ kilogram were discovered concealed in tights she was wearing.

Nicolle Monroe arrived by air from Guyana on Tuesday 2nd December 2014 and was interviewed by Drug Squad personnel and referred to Customs for searches. 6 taped packages of cannabis weighing 4 ½ lbs and 2 taped packages of cocaine weighing ½ kilogram were discovered concealed in tights she was wearing.

Monroe, a former Guyana Police woman, is expected to appear at the District B Magistrates Court on Thursday 4th December 2014.
