DIGICEL REACHES OUT TO NEEDY FAMILIES
Digicel has lived up to its promise of donating over 100 hampers to some of Barbados’ needy families.
Over the last few days, Management and staff hit the road to personally deliver the hampers across the island to families who had been identified through a number of channels.
Marketing Executive with Digicel (Barbados) Limited, Randy Howard, noted that the initiative, which was in its second year, was a true reflection of the company’s Christmas theme for this year:
“Come Together to Make Christmas Better” is our theme this year, and the success of this initiative was certainly based on that. We partnered with Variety, the Children’s Charity; the Barbados Child Care Board; the Nation Newspaper; and most importantly, with our staff, to identify individuals and families in need across the island. We also partnered with BrydenStokes, Wibisco and Massy Distribution for the various non-perishable items. It was certainly a joy to see the enthusiasm of the staff as they packed the hampers and also to the see the smiles on the faces of the families. It was definitely a rewarding experience for all.”
