WHAT’S NEW PUSSYCAT? GUYANESE ROCHELLE GIBSON CHARGED, AFTER DEEP ENCOUNTER
An operation by Police and Customs at the GAIA led to the Drug Squad arresting and charging Guyanese national Rochelle Amanda Gibson, 23 years, with the offences of:
Possession of ½ lb. of cocaine;
Possession with intent to supply;
Trafficking; and
Importation.
Rochelle Gibson arrived by air from Guyana on the 22nd November, 2014; was interviewed by Police after clearing Immigration and then referred to Customs. As a result, a taped package of cocaine was handed over to police which was concealed in a body cavity. Total weight ½ lb.
Gibson appeared at the Magistrates Court on Monday 24th November 2014 and pleaded guilty to the charges. For the offences of Importation and Trafficking she was fined $20,000 on each count forthwith or 9 months in prison. She was CRD on the remaining charges.
