New York Rower Returns Home After Pirate Attack near Haiti
Mooney was recently attacked by pirates off the coast of Haiti, which terminated his mission.

Mr. Mooney became the first African-American to row across any ocean, when he arrived in St Maarten this June.
His mission was to encourage voluntary HIV testing and honor his brother who died in 1983 from AIDS.
