After 7 year hiatus, British reggae stars UB40 set to return for Coolah Jazz 2015
Set just before Crop Over, right after Polo season and close behind Roberts Manufacturing – Coolah Jazz has a serious line-up of International and regional All Stars for the VIP concert aimed for 25 to 50 year olds…
Fabian Knight recently made a pitch to potential sponsors at the Mount Gay Visitors Centre, he explained how David Rudder from Trinidad & Tobago along with Barbados’ own NexCyx, plus Castries’ Michael Robinson (featured on video) are all set to play in the last week of May next year with UB40 from Birmingham, England!
You’ll recall the last time the group was here was also in May but 7 years ago during the Cricket World Cup. Security is set to be tight, guaranteeing patrons the chance to party without fear of any incidents where beverages can be used as weapons.
Planned for the next 3 years initially, the first show’s theme is centred around Experience as in what guests can expect; the second year will focus on Mardi Gras while the 3rd year is to be regional performers only.
The organisers have made promotion and tickets very tech oriented with USB slots allowing a straight connection to either social media or website and making or expanding on initial bookings.
