On the 3rd October 2014, Members of the Drug Squad conducted an operation in the north of the island and as a result Joy Lorette Graham, 55 year old housekeeper of Checker Hall, St. Lucy and Shane Michael McCarthy, 28 years, Fryers Well, Checker Hall, St. Lucy were detained.

Joy Graham was charged with the offences of:
Possession;
Trafficking; and
Possession of 2 kilos of Cocaine

Shane McCarthy was charged with the offences of:

• Possession;

• Trafficking;

• Possession of 2 kilos of Cocaine; and

• Acts preparatory to supplying cocaine, a controlled drug.

Both persons are expected to appear at the Holetown/District E Magistrates Court on Monday 6th October, 2014.
