Former NCF Director of Barbados elected Lieutenant Governor for Division 27 of the Eastern Canada & Caribbean District of the Kiwanis

Kiwanian Ian Estwick has been elected Lieutenant Governor for Division 27 of the Eastern Canada & Caribbean District for the administrative year 2014/2015. Division 27 comprises 16 Kiwanis Clubs in Antigua, Barbados, Dominica, Martinique and St. Lucia.

Lieutenant Governor Ian joined the Kiwanis Club of Bridgetown in October 1988 and assumed the position of Treasurer for the administrative year 1989/1990.  He first served as President during the administrative year 1992/1993 and after an unavoidable absence, he returned to active membership and again assumed the leadership of the club for the administrative year 2011/2012.

Lieutenant Governor Ian joined the Kiwanis Club of Bridgetown in October 1988 and assumed the position of Treasurer for the administrative year 1989/1990. Lieutenant Governor Ian is also a past Trustee of the Kiwanis Silver Dollars for Children Charity. He served as Chairman of the Membership Growth and Retention Committee of the Bridgetown club for the 2012/2013 and 2013/2014 administrative years.

On June 4, 2014, he was presented with the Legion of Honour Award by the Kiwanis Club of Bridgetown for twenty-five years of distinguished service.

Lieutenant Governor Ian’s primary focus for the 16 clubs will be to increase membership, sponsor additional K-Kids and Key Clubs in primary and secondary schools respectively and increase Kiwanis visibility by undertaking more community projects over the next 12 months.
