Barbadian hit house Monstapiece Entertainment unleashes its biggest hits from this Crop Over season on its new album Monstapiece Presents: Nocturnal, now available worldwide from all major digital retailers (released on 14th October 2014), from FOX FUSE. Recently inking an exclusive worldwide digital distribution deal with FOX FUSE, Monstapiece Entertainment continues the onslaught of its vast catalog and slew of hits on the global audience.
Established in Barbados in 1999, Monstapiece Entertainment is known for crafting sleek and thrilling soca and dancehall hits for 15 years now. It was established by Coppin, who has remained relevant by consistently creating smashes that have stormed the airwaves and charts in Barbados, across the Caribbean, and on Caribbean-music platforms worldwide. This feat has earned Coppin the “Producer of the Year” crown twice from the Barbados Music Awards.
Monstapiece’s focus is on making people dance and therefore, its productions incorporate a very strong and heavy drum groove, which has become its signature style. The talented Monstapiece team that helps to create this style also includes Amanda “DJ Revz” Lorenza, Ryan “Menace” Davis, Nicholas “Fadda Fox” Sealy, Obrian “Hitman” Ward and Ashley “Snyper” Wiltshire, adding ammunition to this army of Caribbean music makers and ambassadors. “Monstapiece is for the people, it belongs to the people and it will never be bigger than the people,” discloses Coppin. This sentiment is evident on Monstapiece’s latest release Monstapiece Presents: Nocturnal, which embraces local talents and showcases the top hits from this year’s Crop Over, Barbados’ annual carnival celebrations that culminated in August.
Stacked with 15 sizzling soca hits, Monstapiece Presents: Nocturnal debuted at #79 on the iTunes U.S. Reggae Top Albums chart on its day of release. This masterpiece collection showcases the biggest and most popular names in the genre today, including Alison Hinds, Peter Ram, Edwin Yearwood, Mr. Killa, Porgie & Murda, Fadda Fox, Nadia Batson, Lil Rick, Shal Marshall, BoBo, Cover Drive, Khiomal, and even dancehall star Konshens. Breakout hit “BenUp” from Porgie & Murda (featured on both Bang Bang Riddim: Crop Over Soca 2014 and Monstapiece Presents: Nocturnal) is currently at #54 on the iTunes U.S. Reggae Top Songs chart, while Mr. Killa’s “Cock It Up” and Peter Ram’s “None A My Biznezz (Soca Refix)” were both featured on the iTunes U.S. Reggae Hot Tracks chart.
This massive success of Monstapiece’s releases proves its immense popularity with music lovers globally and adds to its already-rich musical legacy.
