ST JOHN MEN CHARGED WITH ‘SEA EGGS OUT OF SEASON’ OFFENCE

Police have arrested and jointly charged three (3) men from the parish of St. John for the offence of Possession of Sea Eggs during the closed Season.

They are:

1. Deon Norville 23 years of Martins Bay;
2. Anthony Payne 41 years of Martins Bay; and
3. Omar Bootman 34 years of Sherbourne.

On Wednesday 10th September 2014, members of the Marine Police Unit received a report of suspicious activity on the beach at Roaches, St. John, close to Martin's Bay. The men were seen and apprehended. A total of 350 sea eggs were seized.

The aforementioned persons are set to appear at the District C Magistrates Court on Thursday 11th September 2014.
