As part of this deal, HBO Latin America will continue to have exclusive first-run, premium pay television rights for its HBO and MAX branded channels to some of the world’s most recognized and imaginative family-friendly movies from the Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Lucasfilm banners, including recent hits such as: Thor: The Dark World, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Muppets Most Wanted, Saving Mr. Banks, Frozen and Maleficent. The agreement also includes extended rights for multiple platforms, such as HBO GO and HBO On Demand, as well as rights to Disney’s expansive library of stellar classic films for HBO Latin America’s premium channels and Cinemax.

Through this extension with Disney, HBO Latin America secures its fourth major studio – joining Sony, Warner and NBCUniversal – reinforcing its leadership as the main movie destination in Pay TV in the region.
