BEACON Supports the CCB: Child Care Board’s Sayes Courts children’s home

As part of their “Don’t Worry be Happy” (DWBH) regional campaign, Beacon Insurance made a presentation to the Child Care Board’s Sayes Courts children’s home.

Brian Hennis, Beacon’s General Manager, Barbados explained that during the Crop Over season when the campaign was launched, non-perishable food items were collected for donation to the Child Care Board. He said, “We are very pleased to present three barrels of food items, back-to-school lunch bags, books, toys and other children items to the Board.”

Receiving the gift on behalf of the Child Care Board was Senior Child Care Board Officer, Mr Collin St. Hill. He said, “The Board is very appreciative of the interest shown in our nation’s children and look forward to Beacon’s continued support.”

In response to Mr Hennis’ enquiry as what other assistance the Board might need to further their development, Mr St Hill took the opportunity to speak about the Board’s Foster Parent Programme. He explained that this programme continued to need support as it provides an opportunity for children to live in a family atmosphere.

Mr Hennis explained, “The DWBH platform promotes the life-transforming experience that Beacon strives to provide for our customers and is part of our growth and development as company.” He added, “It captures the spirit of hope and promise which we are intent on delivering to our employees and customers.”
