REQUEST TO IDENTIFY VICTIM

Police are appealing to the public to assist in identifying a man who was involved in an accident with a motor vehicle at Brittons New Road, Brittons Hill, St. Michael about 9.00 pm on Saturday July 19th 2014.

The man is believed to be in his 60's is about 5'8" in height, slim built, of dark complexion; he has black and grey hair and beard. He was wearing a mustard cotton shirt and long blue jeans.

Anyone who may know the identity of this man is asked to telephone the Hastings Police Station at telephone number 430-7608 or Police Emergency at 211.

STRUCTURAL FIRE

On Sunday July 20th 2014, a fire destroyed a wooden shop and damaged the attached wall residence of Winifred Howard (female), 81 years of Bullens Avenue, Dalkeith Road, St. Michael. Two other persons resided at the home. The fire occurred about 2:15 am and the property was uninsured. Ten members of the Barbados Fire Service and two tenders responded to the fire. From the initial investigation, it is believed that the fire started from an electrical fault.
