In recognition of its continued commitment to the Caribbean, HBO Latin America received the 2014 Alliance Award from Invest Caribbean Now for its outstanding service and continued investment toward expansion and growth of the Caribbean. HBO has contributed to the region’s economic development by supporting the media sector and forming strategic partnerships with service providers in several countries, including Aruba, Bahamas, Barbados, Bonaire, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Curacao, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, St. Lucia, St. Maarten, St. Vincent, and Trinidad & Tobago.
The prestigious recognition was presented June 4th at the Harvard Club in New York, at the biggest investment summit on the Caribbean outside the region.
“We are honored to receive the 2014 Alliance Award and are very grateful for our partners in the Caribbean, whose relationships we value as they continuously bring the best in television entertainment to their customers with our award-winning programming,” said Javier Figueras, Corporate Vice President of Affiliate Relations at HBO Latin America. “HBO will continue in its efforts to support the development of the Caribbean, and we look forward to strengthening and expanding relationships with other partners throughout the region.”
