FLOW to devise Cloud Storage Facility in Barbados: Columbus Business Solutions Official Launch
A few years ago, I did sales training with Franklin Covey, which is based in West Valley City, Utah, and is a provider of time management training and assessment services for organisations and individuals.
It was a consultative sales methodology course entitled Helping Clients Succeed. It taught the skills practiced by the top three (3) percent of sales professionals in the world. It was a combination of critical communication skills, disciplined business thinking and fierce execution that enable sales persons to talk honestly, explore the real issues, and collaborate to craft solutions that exactly meet their client’s needs.
Since taking the helm, I have thrived to implement the Helping Clients Succeed framework that blends the art of sales with the science of sales.
At Columbus Business Solutions (CBS) we integrate product knowledge, business acumen and proactive customer management as part of our daily lives.
We focus on –
1. Becoming trusted business advisors for our clients.
2. Asking effective questions and genuinely listening so clients feel understood and valued.
3. Moving away from “solution pitches” and start having results-driven conversations.
4. Crafting solutions that exactly meet clients’ needs and buy in criteria.
5. Enabling effective decision-making and execution strategies.
6. Gracefully exiting while preserving the relationship when a solution can’t be reached.
The buyer/seller relationship is fundamentally broken. Let’s face it, buyers simply don’t trust sellers. Years and years of dysfunctional buying behaviours have given rise to equally dysfunctional selling behaviours. Too often sales professionals approach their customers with a faulty mind-set that sales is something they do for the customers rather than with them. Many sales specialists focus more on “hitting their numbers” than on finding solutions that exactly meet their client’s needs. The result is usually missed quotas and unsatisfied customers. This is unfortunate because if you really think about it, both the buyer and the seller really do want the same thing–a solution that meets their respective needs. At Columbus, through CBS, we are changing that paradigm and focusing on helping our clients succeed and with an offering that is unmatched.

When it comes to our IT Solutions we look to our Cloud services. There are many reasons why businesses today find high value in a cloud service. But using Cloud also means that businesses need to carefully assess the technology and integration used to make sure they can still meet demanding service level Security, Cloud Continuity, Cloud Infrastructure (IaaS), Cloud Desktop, Cloud Collocation and Cloud Voice.
CBS’ customers can benefit from our wide variety of Media & Entertainment Services that can offer targeted advertising and research solutions.
